New York-based architecture firm Messana O ‘Rorke has turned a water tower on the roof of its client’s city centre apartment into a relaxation area. The company, which was originally contracted to renovate the client’s bathroom, has completed the complete renovation of the apartment, including the installation of its own stainless steel spiral staircase leading to the new “tank house ” or to the Old Castle Leads.
Water. The Tank House, a quiet area with maple floors, sparse furniture and a 12-foot-tall window, is basically the tree-lined cottage in the city. We will start with the 4 × 4 house. It’s actually a tower house and it was originally the result of a competition organised by a magazine.
It was a project by architect Tadao Ando. This house is what inspired the creation of a second similar house on the nearby site. With the second project, the architect was able to complete his original vision of the tower.
