This home, built by students at the University of Tennessee, the College of Architecture and Design, may recall other educational design building programs in recent years, but the project has 75 years to find The Inspiration.
The home sits among the historic Norris homes of the Great Depression’s Tennessee Valley Authority and is reminiscent of its elderly neighbors.
But basically it’s durable and technological, completely contemporary. The school answered some questions about the recently completed building.
The house was designed by an interdisciplinary group of students from the University of Tennessee’s College of Architecture and Design. Working closely with the Norris community, Clayton homes and led by a handful of industry professors and supporters, students completed all stages of design and documentation.
